The Certified Nursing Assistant / Geriatric Nursing Assistant Programs consist of three parts. First is the mandatory orientation session (gratis) where you will learn about the programs, take a math and reading test, and learn about the prerequisites for the program. The second part of the plan is the Classroom session where you will take classes, participate in discussions, and take the opportunity for hands-on exercise. The tertiary part of the programme is the clinical where students will have an opportunity to work with existent patients nether the supervision of an RN. This program is offered three times a yr in the Fall, Spring, and the Summer.

I. Certified Nursing Assistant Orientation Session

Prior to registering for the CNA Programme, you lot MUST ATTEND the FREE orientation session. Students will take a math and reading test, which takes almost i.v hours. They must pass the outset test with an lxxx% or better. Those who practice not pass the first exam will have an opportunity to take the exams two more times. Students passing both exams will be issued a signed registration form, which they must have in person to Client Service in order to register for the program. The corresponding CNA Classroom and CNA Clinical MUST be taken together, no substitutions. All payments for CNA Classroom and CNA Clinical and additional fees are due at fourth dimension of registration. This program is eligible for the Tuition Installment Plan. Seats for the Classroom and Clinical are limited.

Prerequisites: Y'all must be at least 18 years old and have a Social Security Number or Tax Identification Number for the Maryland Board of Nursing licensing process upon successful completion of the plan. All nursing facilities require criminal background checks prior to being on their premises for educational purposes. You must obtain a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification (BLS) before the midterm exam; Proof of Immunity through immunizations and blood piece of work, a negative TB peel examination (PPD) or chest x-ray is REQUIRED by the cease of the starting time week of class.

Boosted Fees: There will be additional fees for Proof of Amnesty, TB tests, BLS training, CNA awarding, GNA application, fingerprinting, and uniforms. Costs will be discussed at orientation.

II. Certified Nursing Assistant Classroom
